A trip to a dreamland

Walking in peace
among rustling dried leaves,
Treading the long paths
that curves and meets it's counterparts,
Every stone absolutely clean,
not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen!
The serene bamboos to the wild bushes
everything adding to the beauty of the scene.
Just above the entrance is the brown glass pane
filtering those beautiful golden rays;

The raised platform well protected amidst
the huge trees, that the sun really had to miss!
An used office coffee mug left in a corner
holding alive, moments of previous visit by a soul that belonged here!
The flowers, bright and colorful... the birds singing in full flare,
anyone could become a poet by just sitting there!
The school of fishes, white, black, red and golden...
you have any worries, just go and tell them!
The bright blue cool swimming pool,
with the tune of running water, enough to soothe your soul
The lush greens of the lawns
welcoming you to escape to heavens
Flying with the winds, on the cycle
on those neat roads, by itself is a thrill!

Wondering how can and cannot one work there,
I was walking in a dreamland called Infosys!

It's the first time I had been to Infy campus after a stay of 3 and half years in this city! I was filled with awe and reverence thinking of the spirit of the man who dared to dream and did get it this big into reality... It's no less than a dreamland, so tastefully built and beautifully maintained!

Biju... what are you saying! Among those organizations that wants to just make money, that concentrates only on the "figures" and "targets" and those that think values can be compromised by slightly better paychecks, they stand definitely stand out.

Well, I cannot accept the 'blood-sucking-corporation' description... Thats part of the job, and I donot think the scenario is any different at other MNCs here... I bet you agree on this :)

no, I dont agree at all. Building a few edifices cannot make a hero out of a tyrant. Do u realise that to build these edifices that you consider dreamy, thousands have spent and broken their lives? Do u realise that these dreamlands cannot make up for what they have lost?

Hmm, you mean to say they are capturing people, make them work like slaves... and the good infrastructure that they provide cannot makeup for it? "what they have lost"...what have they lost???

My perspective is different... An organization defines it's own policies. It's their wish and convenience, as simple as that. Your reasons such as the pay scale or other opportunities come under that. It's up to the people to stick to their priorities and the organization. "Broken their lives"... I've heard completely different stories that tell the senior employees (I mean those who have been with it for many years) there are quite satisfied with what their organization has given them over many years.
To dream of creating an organization from the scratch and tastefully developing it to a state where it provides life for many thousands, and powerful enough to decide on the economy of the country is something great.

I appreciate our differences of opinion and am not arguing anymore on what is right or wrong about them. I saw the place and honestly felt whatever I have written about it. To me, it definitely is worth calling a dream! :)
